Frequently Asked Questions

Fees & Cancellation Policy

Please contact me for more information on fees. I accept payment by cash, check and credit card. You can also use your HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards. Payment is due at the time that services are rendered.

I do not accept insurance and am not on any insurance panels. As a licensed psychologist I can provide a statement that you may be able to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network coverage and possible reimbursement. Depending on your plan, your insurance company may reimburse you up to 20-70% of the fee when you see an out-of-network provider. Whether you are using your in-network or out-of-network insurance benefits it’s important to be aware that most insurance companies require a clinical diagnosis and sometimes additional information.

I have a limited number of sliding scale spots open for current psychology students/interns experiencing financial hardships. I also provide pro bono services for Give an Hour and front line medical staff during the Covid19 crisis.

Cancellation policy
My full fee will be charged if I am given less than 24 hour notice of cancellation unless an emergency arises.

What to expect

Every therapy session is unique and caters to each individual and their specific goals. An initial visit can range from 60-90 minutes long and regular visits are about 50-55 minutes long. I will email forms once we have scheduled an appointment. For therapy to be most effective you must be an active participant, both during and between the sessions. Reading, lifestyle changes, stress reduction exercises and tracking certain behaviors and reactions are often recommended. People seeking psychotherapy are willing to take responsibility for their actions, work towards self-change and create greater awareness in their lives. You can best achieve sustainable growth and a greater sense of well-being with an integrative approach to wellness.
